Landrover Series 1 1955. Immaculate

Welcome to the sale of our much-loved Land Rover. This has been in the family for many years, and we are, in fact, the second owner, which is very low considering the ripe age of 1955.

This Land Rover has had a full, extensive restoration. With no expense spared, I have full receipts and even pictures to prove all the work carried out.

The chassis has been fully stripped back to bare metal and had all outriggers and cross members replaced with new ones. It was then fully rust-treated and painted in a beautiful age-related green. The inside of the chassis has been wax-oiled to prevent further corrosion.

The engine underwent a full strip-down and complete rebuild with new bearings, gaskets, and a fully rebuilt head with new valves, which were then painted.

All axles were stripped back and had all bearings, gaskets, and seals replaced, then painted  

The gearbox had a full strip-down with all bearings replaced throughout, along with new seals and gaskets. It also received various new gears, a new layshaft, clutch, and thrust bearing, all of which were painted.

The bodywork is in very good condition, with very clean paintwork. The entire body was blasted and painted to achieve this finish.

This Land Rover has undergone an extensive nut-and-bolt restoration. I have a full write-up from the garage that carried out the work. Whatever needed doing, we ensured it was done. Due to illness, this vehicle has sat in the garage since being completed, with very little use. I would love to see someone enjoy this little thing as much as we did.
